“We are not beginners forever but we never stop learning”
As educators our job is obvious, we need to get out of the way, shine a light and empower a new generation to teach itself and go further and faster than any generation ever has. In Integrated Indian School we believe in the above ideology. To be better teachers we need to be learners and keep equipping and upgrading our knowledge and our techniques of imparting knowledge. On 14th September 2019 IIS conducted a seminar for its teachers on the topic ‘CBSE General Instructions on Curriculum and Remodeled Assessment’. It was indeed a great privilege to have Mr. Prem Kumar, Principal of Bhavan’s and the Chairman of CBSE Gulf Sahodaya as our Guest Resource Person because very rarely do we get a chance to listen to and learn from the knowledge and experience of educators like him. The seminar preceded with a welcome speech by our Vice Principal Mrs. Cathy Thomas. It was a very interactive session and the teachers were updated with a lot of information on the assessment pattern of CBSE. Topics like Principles of CBSE Curriculum, Implementation of Curriculum 2019-2020, Scheme of Studies2019-20 etc. were discussed in detail. The seminar was an effective way to help the teachers introspect and evaluate their teaching methods. A Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Counsellor Mrs. Tanzim Nuzhat and a memento a Token of Appreciation was presented to Mr. Prem Kumar by our Principal Mr. Arul Dharmaraj Thomas for his valuable presence. Certificates were distributed to the attendees and the seminar concluded with a quick photography session.
