The school celebrated onam in this academic year with all its pomp and glory. All the teachers were gathered in the school auditorium and the formal function started with the lamp lighting ceremony where the guest of the day Mrs. Daisy ; the vice – principal of Smart Indian school, the principal and vice principal of our school lighted the lamp.
It was followed by an onam song by teachers. It brought back the memories of onam to all of them gathered. After the wonderful group song , the supervisor of senior wing, Mrs. Jinshy Ajish gave a speech on the importance of onam. Soon after the speech, the traditional onam dance, the thiruvathira was performed by teachers. It was a teart to all of us. The guest of the day Mrs Daisy addressed the gathering which was followed by a felicitation address by principal.
This marked the end of the formal function and the teachers gathered in the smart room for the ‘Onasadhya’ after which everyone dispersed.
