Department of Social Studies
Social science refers to the academic disciplines concerned with society and relationships among individuals within a society. In secondary level it include History, Geography, Economics, Political science and Disaster Management.
The central objective of social studies instruction is the promotion of better citizenship .The pursuit of this objective begins in social studies at elementary school. In the junior and senior secondary schools this emphasis is upon better citizenship in home, school and community.
We provide students with the opportunity to engage in educational experiences and apply academic concepts, strategies and techniques to contemporary, real world issues and to their own interactions with the society.
